Waste can be described by an article (from the stock module), a substance (from the substance module) or by a textual description of the waste. Unlike GROS, you do not have to create your waste as a hazardous substance before you can administer it as waste. In the waste entity you can simply describe the type of waste by means of a text.
When you choose a substance, the 'Article' field is disabled because it no longer applies in that case. The same applies to the 'Substance' field when you have selected an item. You can still fill in the 'Waste' field to possibly record an extra description of the waste.
If no article or substance is present that describes the waste, you can describe the waste in the 'Waste' field.
The 'Waste Description' field provides the description of the waste and is made up of the article, the substance and the 'Waste' field.
If one or more Eural codes are linked to the substance, these codes will be included in the list of Eural codes. This list can then no longer be adjusted. If no Eural codes are linked to the substance, you can fill the list with eural codes with the correct eural codes.
The list of Eural codes is used to filter waste in the case of packaging that may only be filled with certain Eural codes. If no Eural codes are specified, no filtering will take place.
