This screen can be opened via Settings - Own organisation - Organisation. Place this screen in edit mode by clicking on the pencil icon and open a company department (using the pencil icon) via the tab 'Company departments'. Substances can be added to the department using the 'New' button on the substances tab.
After opening the screen, you can enter a start and end date within which the substance will be linked to the department. If you do not enter a start and/or end date, this will not be used to determine whether the link is still active.
You can then select one or more substances in the list of substances by ticking the box at the beginning of the line. You can use the search field to filter the overview. Any selected substances will remain selected if you enter a new search term. When you have selected all the substances that you want to link to the department, you can actually link these to the department using the 'Add' button in the top right. The substance overview will be rebuilt and the already linked substances will no longer be visible.
When you have linked all desired substances to the department, you can close the screen by clicking on the 'Close' button. The substances become visible in the department but are not yet linked to it. Only after closing the department screen using the OK button the substances will actually be linked to the department.
