Space
Menu > Go to > Space

This screen allows you to create or modify a space. Depending on the type of space, the fields associated with it are displayed. With exception of a location, each space should be linked to another. By modifying the "Linked to" field, you can move the current space and all spaces related to that room to the new space.

In addition to the type-specific fields, spaces have general fields, including "At ground level" and "Belongs to parent level," which are the most important for the PGS15 check. "Ground floor" indicates the room is on the ground level. If a room is linked to another room that is not on the ground level, the current room will be automatically marked as "Not at ground level". The field "Belongs to parent level" indicates that the current room with connection to the PGS15 check must be considered part of the space as entered in "Linked to". For example, consider a shelf in a cupboard. The shelf must be regarded as a component of the cabinet for the PGS15 check. In that case, the substances on the shelf are considered as substances in the cabinet. .

When creating a space, you can choose whether it is active or not. You can only deactivate an active space if no more pots are registered in it.

A protection level for a room can be defined. This protection level is also utilized in the PGS15 check. There are the following protection levels available:

Protection level Description

1

Protection level 1: effective fire detection and extinguishing that can be (semi) automatically deployed in a short period of time is necessary.

2

Protection level 2: the fire must be controlled and extinguished using a well-prepared extinguishing operation. In this case, however, it is accepted that the extinguishing action would not be initiated automatically.

3

Protection level 3: concerns situations where the risk of a (significant) fire is small. Extensive standards for fire prevention and water containment are not regarded as reasonable. Preventive measures are sufficient, and this applies similarly to Protection levels 1 and 2.

On the screen you will find (depending on your license) up to five tabs: "Substance", "Spaces", "Documents", "Process step" and  "Pots".

Tab Descripton
Substance

This tab displays an overview of the maximum amount of substance that can be stored in this space. This maximum stock is used for the PGS15 check. You can add a new maximum stock indication by clicking the "New" button in the overview.

Space This page displays all spaces that are linked to the current room. This tab allows you to add a new space and input the active space or the space selected in the overview into the "Linked to" tab. If the area exceeds 1,000 m2, you have to fill it. This information is included in the PGS15 check.
Documents This tab allows you to link documents or web addresses to the active space. If the document's name or Internet address changes, you should update the link to reflect the new information.
Process step When the space is linked to a process step in the CMR registration, this step is shown in this tab. You can modify or add stages to this overview.
Pots When there are pots in the space, these are visible on this tab. You can perform all the actions on pots that are possible in this overview.

At the top right of the screen you will see a “PGS15 notifications” button. When, based on the maximum stock or the actual stock, one or more PGS15 notifications are to be given then this button will become active with a red text. Clicking the button will display the PGS15 report with the notifications.
