On this screen, you can specify which SOFOS 360® element each type of line in the scanner file corresponds to. Each line in the scanner file requires an action code and one of several data fields. These data fields can be linked to other parts of SOFOS 360®, such as pots, employees, spaces, and, if you use anonymous stock administration for articles. To distinguish between similar data, such as pot numbers or employee numbers, you can use a prefix. Additionally, if you scanned an item with a GTIN/EAN number like 123456789, you can choose it with a prefix such as A123456789. You are allowed to select the prefix, but it must match the prefixes in the scanner file.
For instance, if you want to specify in the scanner file that there is a reference to a pot written as P<potnumber>,. You will choose 'BOPot' for the "Table" column. Next, in the "Field" field, select 'Pot number'. If there is a potential that the file contains data in several columns, specify the column number in the "Field Column Number" area. This step is only essential if you specify a separator in the "Layout rules" screen.
If you intend to validate the pot number, click the "Validate" option. During processing, the program will confirm whether or not the pot can be located.
Any element in a scanner file that is not defined in the layout is interpreted as an action code and, if possible, linked to a SOFOS 360® action. A definition for such an action code is always required in a layout definition. Only the checkboxes "Control code" and "Grouped by" are checked.
The layout file for the 'normal' stock control is different from the layout file for the anonymous stock control.
If required, you can perform multiple (simple) data translations per line.
The following actions should be performed using the following file (action code 'V' is linked to the SOFOS 360-action 'Use', 'U' to 'Issue', and 'T' to 'Return to warehouse'):
This is possible using the following (example) file:
V
P29
P30
U
M053
P60
T
P146
This file can be read using the layout rules provided following.
The layout file for anonymous stock control looks as follows.
