You can add a new SOFOS 360® substance by using the "New" button in the substance overview or the substance mutation screen.
- You must first choose the preferred input language.
- Then you can enter the common name or CAS-number of the substance. After filling and leaving the field, a list of already existing substances with the entered substance name and/or CAS number will be displayed.
- If the substance you want to create already exists in the list, you can select it immediately, and the mutation screen for that substance will be displayed. On the screen, you can make more changes to the selected substance's data.
- If the substance does not yet exist, choose 'New' at the top right. The small screen is closed, and the mutation screen for the new substance displays. On the screen, you can add the data for the new substance.
- To save the substance, click the "Save" button. When the 'Released' checkbox is selected, the new substance becomes immediately available in the overview. If you are not ready for it to be visible yet, perhaps because not all the data has been entered, uncheck the 'Released' checkbox before saving the substance. In this case, the substance will only be visible if the "Inactive substances" filter is selected in the substance overview. Once you have entered all the information and want to release the substance, check the "Released" box again. If you want every newly entered substance to be immediately available, select the 'Settings' option from the 'Settings - System settings' screen.
- To make a selection, click the black arrow () next to "Save":
- You select "Save" and you are now on the screen of the newly produced substance.
- You select "Save and close" to return to the screen where you started creating the new substance.
- If you choose "New' at the top right:
- The small screen is closed, after which the mutation screen of the new substance is opened. In this screen you can further complete the data for the new substance.
- Note: the fields are not mandatory. However, you must enter as much known information as possible.
- A more detailed explanation of the various tabs can be found in the section on manually adding a substance to your database.
